Since things have been quiet here, I'm leaving these prompts open for one more week. Doesn't fandom need to explore genderswapped Ashe/Balthier?!

Our prompts for Round 48:

98: Genderswap
99: Dexterity
100: Forgiveness

Posting: Round 48 will be open between Monday, May 9 and <strike>Sunday, May 22</strike> Sunday, May 29.

As always, we look forward to your drabbles (100 words) or double drabbles (200 words).

Hopefully no one minds that I've moved our prompt rounds to begin at an ungodly hour on Monday morning in a close-to-last timezone. This guarantees everyone the full weekend to post last minute drabbles before rounds close. (Or it provides something new on Mondays to help you procrastinate on doing real work.)

Base on results from our survey this round is the first that is not in sync with the LJ version of FF-Fortnightly. We are currently in need of new prompts so please suggest prompts here.

FF-Fortnightly is (always)  looking for new prompts!

Given the results of our poll on prompts, writers who participate here want to see prompts that are different from the LJ version of this community.  Diversity is good, yes?  (More prompts means more merry writers?!)

Three prompts are randomly selected each round by the mod who starts the new round. We always need prompts so here's a post for you to comment to at any time with your suggested prompts.

When suggesting prompts, aim for ones that are general enough to inspire multiple interpretations across the many Final Fantasy games.

You can suggest one prompt or many per comment. If you have more than one prompt in your comment, please put each prompt on a new line.

Prompt away!

Updated: Definitely seeing a trend here -- any one who hasn't had their say is welcome to cast a vote and/or comment.

Some of us are trying to figure out what is best for this community and what will help it attract other DW-based drabble writers in Final Fantasy fandom.

This community was originally created as a mirror for the active [livejournal.com profile] ff_fortnightly on LiveJournal. Given that (a) this community has been sort of quiet and (b) neither the community moderators nor the members clearly overlap, it feels like a good time to consider how prompts are selected and how having the same versus different prompts might affect community participation.

Anyone with a DW account is welcome to vote. It doesn't matter if you haven't yet contributed a drabble to this community.

After an absolutely positively extremely rediculous delay, Welcome to Round 45!
Sorry everyone. Too much life intruded on my previously scheduled free time. Now I'm back after kicking life in the teeth. Time for drabbles!

Prompts:
89: Atonement
90: Hidden Talents
91: Steampunk

Posting: Between Tuesday 21th December and Monday 3rd January. For real. Don't forget that we are also on Dreamwidth as well as LiveJournal! Feel free to post on either to be included in the fortnightly archive. You may also post an advertisement link in the other community.

As always, we look forward to your 100 and 200 word drabbles. Additionally, you are welcome to "chain" one prompt or "stitch" multiple prompts.

What's chaining? Pick one of the prompts for this round and write a series of 100 and/or 200 word drabbles that chain together to tell a longer story. Each drabble should be able to stand alone. You can post the chain of drabbles in one post, making clear where each drabble ends, or as separate posts with hyperlinks connecting them together.

What's stitching? Select as many of the prior prompts as you want. Write one drabble per prompt selected such that your series of drabbles stitch together to form a longer story. Each drabble should be able to stand alone. You can post the series of drabbles in one post or as separate posts with hyperlinks connecting them together.

If you haven't already read these 11 drabbles, check them out and leave a comment. (I will over the next few days ^^)

Welcome to Round 44 and welcome our new Final Fantasy Fortnightly DW Mirror!

Posting: Between Tuesday 9th November and Monday 22nd November.

Any previously used prompt can be recycled as the basis for a new drabble. Look at the tags list for all of the tags numbered 01 through 88 -- any of these prompts are fair game for the next two weeks.

New Cross-posting Information: Post your drabbles to one of either our LJ community or our DW community for FF_Fortnightly community archiving. You may post an advertisement link in the other community. So, if you post your drabble in the DW version of this community, you can (if you wish) post a link in the LJ version of this comm. The master list of drabbles created at the end of each round will include all drabbles from both the LJ and DW ff_fortnightly communities.
